Aromatherapy Wrap

Both cold and hot compresses and wraps have their advantages. Add 5 drops of aromatic oil to a bowl with 1 liter of hot (depending on how much heat you can withstand) or warm water and immerse the towel in water to absorb the mixture. Then squeeze out the excess water and place the towel on the area to be treated. The tile should be left in place for approximately 2 hours.

Lavender oil, for example, is usually used.

You will get relief from bruises, skin problems and premenstrual syndrome, for example. To apply a cold compress, add 6 ice cubes to a bowl with 5 drops of essential oil per 1 water and dip the towel in it to absorb the mixture. Put the towel back on the surfaces you want to treat. Cold compress is very useful in the treatment of burns, sore feet, hangovers, sprained ankles and headaches. Alternating the use of hot and cold compresses can also help the skin on the face.

If for some reason you decide for direct application (for example on cold sores), remember that it is necessary to lightly apply only a few drops – do not rub! If redness or itching occurs, the use of essential oil must be stopped immediately. Sometimes it is advisable to dilute the essential oil with milk or light vegetable oil.
